Operations Supervisor

COSCO SHIPPING Lines LINE Inc. is seeking a supervisor, Cost Control/Invoice Management to join their Commercial Department in their Houston, TX operations office. Specific responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervise CCD Houston office activities to effectively perform cost control, and efficient processing of invoices. This would include Rail, Truck, Depot, and select Marine terminal invoices.
  • Colleting port, terminal operator, and railroad statements and post them to designated SharePoint sites to enable interdepartmental review, verification and collaborations with Shanghai invoice processing and audit teams.
  • Ensure invoices are submitted to CDS for processing in a timely manner and according to procedure.
  • Train/Develop team to ensure proper coordination with vendors and service providers to reconcile IJOS orders to invoices when needed. and work outstanding/overdue statements with emphasis on the over 60 day invoices.
  • Coordinate as necessary with other department heads at the NAOC, GSC, and NJ FAD to resolve invoicing issues.
  • Make recommendations to senior management as necessary to improve operational efficiencies.

Pricing Analyst - Secaucus, NJ

COSCO SHIPPING Lines LINE Inc. is looking for a Pricing Analyst assistant. The Pricing Analyst would be responsible for US import/export revenue and volume-based performance to meet all GSD sales budget goals. Complete all work assigned by GSD management on timely basis.

  1. Design online products with sales, headquarter and posit it online.
  2. Analyze US export/import cargo flow, revenue, contribution report, complete all work assigned by pricing management.
  3. Compilation of competitive factors, establish, evaluate and make recommendation on US import/export Sales guideline, to keep competitive pricing.
  4. Update master file of sales guides per management direction. Inform all after every change. Reply question about sales guideline.
  5. Update SynconHub E-contract on-line offer per management instruction. Review all SynconHub E-contract on-line order received, respond immediately, guide sales team on work thereafter.
  6. Download all new SynconHub certified user on weekly basis, complete SynconHub new user classification. Support customer CosPlus Identification request.
  7. Help sales team to answer question from customer about SynconHub.
  8. Work on US import/export bid offer. Attend meeting with bid account.
  9. Review and reply all manifest amendment request related to rating issue.
  10. Work with NAOC on overbook vessel, provide rolling booking list to minimize negative impact of rolling.
  11. Analyze allocated customer’s lifting vs allocation, assist management to update customer allocation on individual service.

Accountant - Secaucus, NJ

COSCO SHIPPING LINE Inc. is seeking an Accountant to work in its Secaucus, NJ headquarters office.

  • Maintain Tax exposure database with all legal entity data, tax filing jurisdiction information, due dates, and payment history.
  • Oversee the settlement of all tax payments as instructed by the outside tax expert.
  • Validate and submit all ad hoc tax payments for management approval via system.
  • Validate all tax payments for related business.
  • Perform regular and irregular tax work, including research tax laws and assist to handle tax issues as needed.
  • Be an active real-time collaborator for team members and all stakeholders.
  • Support the accounting function for up to three entities.
  • Validate disbursement authorizations.
  • Know and support the operations team.
  • Create paper checks via SAP.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

Customs Broker - Secaucus, NJ

Sea Trade International, Inc. is seeking customs broker to work in its Secaucus, NJ headquarters office.

 

Specific responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Handle the release and ISF/entries for vehicles/personal goods being imported into the US via air and ocean;
  • Supervise and ensure accurate and timely processing of ISF and entries
  • Ensure data entry of shipment information for release and billing are accurate and complete Ensure classification and value is correct for U.S. duties/fees
  • Work with clients to ensure all documentation is received and accurate

COSCO SHIPPING LINES Inc. is seeking a Deputy Director to join their Global Sales Division for our South-Central Region in the Houston area.

Specific responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:

General Functions and Key Activities:

  • Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, the selected individual will be responsible for leading a vertical sales program for out of gauge, specialized and hazardous commodities.
  • They will coordinate via other Regional Sales Directors and DSMs to support and steer the local sales team in each Region, and to insure they meet and exceed all sales goals.
  • The Deputy Director will also coordinate with ECD to ensure an adequate inventory of specialized equipment is maintained to support bookings. Hazardous targets will be met by regular interaction with the NAOC hazmat team.
  • Travel throughout the Regions for direct sales efforts with local sales teams may be required as determined by Sales and Executive Management.

Additional Qualifications or requirements:

Ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, be computer-literate and have a proven track record in transportation and logistics. Account Executive - Long Beach, CA (territory)

COSCO SHIPPING LINE Inc. is seeking an Account Executive to join their Global Sales Division for our Los Angeles areaThis position would also have some responsibility for some clients in the West Central Region on a key account manager basis.

Specific responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:

General Functions and Key Activities:

  • Conduct F2F meetings with existing and target export accounts in Michigan and Ohio Valley area.
  • Document the minutes / results of these meetings in the company specified reporting platform and work closely with the Trade dept to ensure market information is shared promptly in effort to retain and/or increase COSCO’s market share in said territory.
  • Perform other as needed reports on activity, lift, revenue, etc as specified by senior management.

  • Send statements and invoices to customer as per portfolio of customers
  • Daily collections calls to customer and monitor accounts portfolio
  • Create Top 20 report on weekly basis for management review with comments on invoice level
  • Monitoring receivables and immediate reporting for high risk accounts
  • Work with POL and POD along with GTSD on rates and disputes from customers.
  • Review and research unallocated credits on weekly basis
  • Freight cashier functions including freight releases, cash applications, deposits.

Division: North American Operations Center (NAOC)

General Functions & Key Activities:
This position is responsible for the coordination and arrangement of export shipments for vessel loading to ensure 100% space utilization as outlined below:

• Obtain required documents as well as preparation of documents for vessel loading: Daily Teu Reports
• Container Booking Forecast (CBF), Container Load List,
• Hazardous Documents & Manifest, Container/Tank Certificates/Surveys, EEI’s, VGM’s, Gas/Battery statements,
• Validated Auto Titles, etc.
• Contact customers to confirm cargo in order to fully utilize space on vessel
• Daily vessel reconciliation to find discrepancies between Cosco and terminal systems
• Work with terminals, customers and internal departments for problem resolution
• Monitor and maintain vessel cut offs
• Shipment tracking and tracing
• Send shipment notices to customers for various issues; vessel delays, cut-off changes, etc.
• 3PI invoicing
• Scan documents to internal Cosco file
• Back up for other coordinators
• Meet required KPI’s
